Are all inmates strip searched at intake regardless of the charge?

Jim: Yes, it's my understanding that ALL incoming offenders are strip searched (at least when they are moved from the holding facility to the more permanent housing upstairs, if not sooner).

yes, everyone is strip searched. i was in for a class b misdemeanor, my friend was being held for a ticket in another county and we were both strip searched and watched as we changed. it was very humiliating.

It is my understanding that everyone is strip searched however if you cause problems(screaming, acting crazy, falling on the ground), and seem like you may be on drugs you are cavity searched. I work in an office in the jail and get to listen to all the crazy people hollering and screaming as they are being brought in, we even had one lady threaten to sue the whole STATE of Dallas, because the officers supposed cracked her tooth(not broke it, or chipped it but cracked it) and this was while she was rolling around on the ground and refusing to see the nurse.
