Dallas County Jail

My husband is in county jail right now for probation violation his trial is in 10 days, he says his lawyer is telling him that since his sentence is 12-14 months that he will be out in 4 or 5 months and he won't have to do probation when he gets out i was just wondering if this would actually be true or if it is a bunch of B.S. I don't really know the legal system that well cuz i haven't been in trouble if you could give me advice that would be swell.

This isn't exactly an answer but I think that may just be possible if his lawyer said it. My boyfriend was sentenced to 6 months for a probation violation, but his lawyer said that with PVs there is no possibility of early release. I think this may be bullshit but I don't know for sure because I get conflicting advice. My boyfriend said that staff at Lew Sterrett told him he'd get out in 2-3 months. If you find out the real answer to our question please let me know
